Breaking: Kennedy Joint Fundraiser Pays Libertarian Chair McArdle's Domestic Partner Through Delaware LLC
McArdle lobbied the Libertarian Party to accept the joint fundraising committee with Robert Kennedy Jr. Payments were not disclosed to the committee and hidden in transactions to a Delaware LLC
Weeks ago, I reported on Twitter (yes, I still call it that) there were $12,000 in payments going from the Libertarian Party/Robert Kennedy Jr. joint fundraising committee to the same “Pak and Ship” mailbox location in Austin, Texas that party Chair Angela McArdle used on FEC documents for her new Libertarian Unity PAC.
It can be extremely difficult to identify the owners of a Delaware LLC which is why many LLC owners who wish to remain anonymous have their businesses incorporated in Delaware. I paid money to the state of Delaware but could only find information for the registered agent, but I found it interesting that the same registered agent service was used that McArdle used to form another corporate entity in the past.
We were at a dead end, but thanks to an attorney who was able to track down the original Certificate of Formation, we got an answer.
The Libertarian Party Chair’s domestic partner, Austin Padgett, was paid $12,000 through the hidden and undisclosed Delaware LLC for “Fundraising Consulting”
The first payment was disbursed on October 18, 2024, for $8,000. Second payment was made on November 8, 2024, for $4,000.
McArdle lobbied for and fought hard to get the Libertarian Party to enter in the legally questionable joint fundraising committee with a Presidental candidate who was not nominated by their party. She had a duty to disclose the conflict of interest and failed to do so.
The Libertarian National Committee should be asking who approved this payment, proof of services rendered, why the Chair didn’t feel the need to disclose the conflict of interest, and why was the LLC registered in Delaware to hide the incorporator.
